Bombo Quarry, Kiama.

Finally after more than a year of dreaming of this shot I now have it.

As I embarked on the 2 hour drive I was unawed by the cloudless sky, although the forecast was for rain, but none the less was committed to at least scout the location. To my pleasure an endearing blanket of cloud emerged during the commute and by the time I arrived I knew something was on the cusp; briskly I readied myself and started the walk.

It's always tricky navigating unexplored coast at 4am but I made it to 'the spot' and was even greeted by a fox who seemed to be gallivanting through the vegetation that lined the quarry. As I experienced the scene unfold I couldn't help but think could this be any better.. probably not I casually though ecstatically dismissed.

stunning image dude, really nicely composed and very atmospheric but it's the glistening reflections on the rocks that make this for me :)

It is a very interesting location Ed and well worth the 2 hr drive (it takes me about that long too). I have a photo very similar in my gallery.

Great work!

To create interesting light, you have to create interesting shadows.
